Who loves fruit? To be honest, I’m a weirdo and i’ve never liked fruit. And i’ve tried to like fruit many many times. It’s the textures. They sorta freak me out. Now, apples are my fruit exception. I do enjoy a good apple!

Regardless of my weird taste buds, fruit are adorable and i’ve tried to help my girls to have positive experiences with fruit.

I like to create activities to help appeal to each of the five senses.

Sight: This FREE printable will help your kiddos get familiar with how different kinds of fruit look as they match the fruit to their silhouette.

Smell, Touch, and Taste: For this activity, you’ll want to find something to blindfold your kiddos and a variety of fruit. Once your kids are blindfolded, let them feel and smell the different fruits one by one to guess what they are. Once they’ve made their guess, let them lift the blindfold to see if they guessed correctly! Continue with the other fruit you have.

After you’ve had a chance to guess at each fruit, let your kiddos have a taste of each one! You may even want to create some fruit dips for them to experiment with!

Hearing: I love to teach my kids through the power of music! My husband’s career is music, so in our household it is a bit of a love language.
